I make my own laundry detergent and it's been working out great on Tru's skin. He has sensitive skin like his parents. :-) I had to stop using store bought fabric softener because it made him breakout. A friend of mine made her fabric softener and I decided to try it out and I'm so glad I did. It was so easy and took only a couple minutes! Chet's noticed a difference and we really like it.
You mix one quart of white vinegar, 25 drops of lavender essential oil and 1 teaspoon of rubbing alcohol for emulsion. Shake it up and you have great homemade fabric softener! I put about a 1/4 a cup per load.
